Community participation
Membership is free. Share only material you have the right to publish, respect other people and avoid private or sensitive locations. Roles and availability are self-declared unless supported by a visible review. Moderators can restrict content; verification is based on evidence, not registration or payment.
Scientific scope
Datasets may contain gaps, errors and revised values. Check the original source, date, units and quality information. The platform does not replace scientific assessment, environmental permits or professional advice.
Imagery and source attribution
NASA GIBS imagery, NASA JPL / PO.DAAC products, NASA Ocean Biology products, EMODnet bathymetric products and Natural Earth geographic outlines retain their original provenance. EMODnet data products are subject to CC BY 4.0 and source-specific conditions. Provider names do not imply partnership or endorsement.
AI and explanations
The evidence guide provides curated source-based explanations. No generative Astra model is connected in this release. It does not calculate local causation, health scores, pollution drift or validated forecasts.
Blue Route
The calculator is an educational sensitivity model. It is not a routing engine, navigation aid, fuel prediction service or verified emissions report. Outputs must not be used to navigate a vessel.
Research concepts
ORBIS RAY, Ocean Grid and future intervention tools are research concepts unless explicitly supported by operational evidence. No robot fleet, scientific partnerships or environmental outcomes are asserted.
Public commercial launch
Final operator details, contractual terms and privacy documentation must be completed before public commercial operation.
